Did you know human skin oxidizes? Although it would not be accurate to say skin “rusts,” oxidization occurs on skin just like it does on iron and metals. In the same way oxidization harms metal in the process of rusting it, oxidization also damages the skin. During the process of oxidation, free radicals are emitted.
