Healthy eating at Cheekwood's Dia De Los Muertos
Cheekwood's 13th annual El Dia de los Muertos was held Sat., Oct. 27 (sabado, 27 de octubre), celebrating the colorful Days of the Dead festivals of Mexico and Latin America. The holiday is one of the most important celebrations in Latin America and demonstrates the Latin culture’s strong love of life as well as respect for departed ancestors. Dia de los Muertos is related to Halloween.
The Nashville fall fiesta featured traditional Latin and Aztec dancing, arts and crafts, Mariachis, a small marketplace, and lots and lots of Mexican food!
