The Bible on Anxiety

Anxiety is a silent killer. Stress hormones wreak havoc on our immune systems, mental health and overall health. According to webmd, among other things, physical symptoms of stress can include:

  • Low energy.
  • Headaches.
  • Upset stomach, including diarrhoea, constipation and nausea.
  • Aches, pains, and tense muscles.
  • Chest pain and rapid heartbeat.
  • Insomnia.
  • Frequent colds and infections.
  • Loss of sexual desire and/or ability

Faith is a powerful healer. The Bible provides us with some great ways to deal with stress in Phillipeans.
  • 1. Prayer. Turning to a Higher Power with your worries can provide a sense of peace and assurance someone bigger than you is in control
  • 2. Petition. Asking God to actively participate in the solutions to your problems can help provide solutions
  • 3. Thanksgiving. Counting your existing blessings and remembering the ways God has already provided for you can help allay your fears and worries and give you peace of mind.
  • 4. Present your request to God and trust that He will provide a way. Then stop worrying!

Nerium Under Fire for Fraud

My face the first day I used Nerium and with my Nerium burn a few days later

ALERT! NERIUM FRAUD!!!

The Nerium brand of skincare (now Neora) is under fire yet again and faces even more trouble now. In addition to faulty science, Nerium burns, Nerium rashes and lawsuits from celebreties like Ray Liotta for using his likeness to make false claims, now the CEO Jeff Olson is accused of massive fraud.

Nerium burned my own sensitive skin badly and caused pimples and irritation after just three days of use which is why I began researching the products and the company. This is why I have always warned people: Nerium = bad products and bad business.

Men & Marriage: Debunking the Ball and Chain Myth

What Popular Culture Teaches Men About Marriage Is Not Necessarily True

Marriage is not worth it for men. It’s not worth the practical and financial sacrifices, the lost romantic opportunities, or the “lack of freedom.” All in all, a spouse is a ball and chain—of little benefit to any man interested in pursuing happiness and well-being.

Considering both the latest survey data and the continuing decline in the marriage rate, it’s fair to say that this viewpoint is becoming more entrenched in our society, particularly among younger men.1 But despite its prevalence, the ball and chain view of marriage is simply not supported by the research. Indeed, the benefits of marriage for men are substantial by every conceivable measure, including more money, a better sex life, and significantly better physical and mental health. Yet many men remain ignorant of these benefits, a view seemingly promoted by popular culture.

Read about the health and other many benefits of marriage for me here:

Nashville Woman to Climb for Lung Disease

https://us.vocuspr.com/Publish/3099793/vcsPRAsset_3099793_120823_c2742960-b4bc-426f-96db-8bfc547b53e9_0.PNG

Erica Honeycutt, a 28-year-old from Murfreesboro, was diagnosed with Non Specific Interstitial Pneumonia (NSIP) in summer of 2015.  NSIP is a very rare lung disease that affects the tissue that surrounds and separates the alveoli, or the tiny air sacks of the lungs.
”Back in the latter part of 2014, out of nowhere, I began to notice being short of breath by doing normal daily activities,” says Honeycutt. “For example walking to the mailbox, carrying in groceries, and even talking became difficult.”
In the beginning of her journey, Erica was diagnosed with a grocery list of possible conditions, such as asthma, lupus and Castleman’s disease.  During a hospital visit in February 2015, a hematologist at Vanderbilt noticed scarring on her lungs and enlarged lymph nodes in her chest. He referred her to a colleague pulmonologist who conducted a biopsy.  She was diagnosed with NSIP in June 2015.
“I remember being afraid, feeling alone, angry, and devastated because in the mind of a 26 year old, you should be perfectly healthy, and when you all of a sudden can’t breathe and don’t have answers as to why, you begin to feel hopeless,” says Honeycutt. “However, you are not alone and you don’t have to feel hopeless”.
Over 33 million Americans are currently living with lung disease.  Young or old, smoker or not, lung disease can happen to anyone at any time. Erica will be sharing her story at our 2017 Fight for Air Climb in Nashville on Saturday, February 18th from 8:00am to 10:30am.
This unique and signature event challenges participants to complete the 29 floors, or 638 steps, of the Fifth Third Center. Registration is $35, plus a required $100 fundraising minimum to climb. We invite the Nashville community to join our fight against lung disease as we climb for those who are not able. This event is expected to sell out, attracting over 100 climbers and local fire fighters to step up for a cause.
We invite you to step up to the challenge, to climb for Erica and the 33 million effected by lung disease.
